High St Upgrade – Have Your Say!

If you’ve left your house at any point in the past year you’ve probably noticed a fair amount of reconstruction around the bus exchange.

At the moment the Christchurch City Council is taking submissions on the High Street upgrades, and, seeing as the centre of the city is probably THE major hotspot for many of us, it makes sense that we should have our say.

Here is where the info about their planned changes is:
http://www1.ccc.govt.nz/HaveYourSay/pdfs/HighStreetUpgradeWithoutDXPIL.pdf

And here is where you go to have your say:
http://www1.ccc.govt.nz/HaveYourSay/ConsultationSubmit.aspx?ConsultId=668

You don’t have to use technical language, or justify your opinion with an essay full of evidence and pointless blabber. It’s just as good (if not better) to blast out a five word submission (”don’t change it, it rules!”), because what is important is your opinions. They do matter, and the more we start making these submissions the more and more the CCC will take the feedback they get into account, making submissions a powerful way for us to get our word out.

Sweet, go to it if you’re keen!
