Just a quick update re what is happening with 198′s services.
The medical team (docs and nurses) are now working from 192 Gloucester St (The Clinic).
198 service is monday-thursday 11.30-5.30pm.
Cost: $10 (which can be paid at a later date if you can’t afford it at the time).
Some services are free … Including as from today, Under 21 year olds sexual health is FREE (contraception, STI screens, ECP, Preg tests etc).

The 198 counselling team have moved to Waipuna, 349 Woodham Road, ph 3862159 for an appointment. Counsellors are available Mon-Fri. All counselling is FREE!
198 Clients, your medical records are located at The Clinic. If you wish to transfer to another medical centre, ask the new medical centre to contact us and we will forward your records (they will get you to sign a form so we know we have your permission).
We are still working on opening another free Youth Health One Stop Shop but this is not going to happen in the short term. In the mean time we are doing our best to offer low cost services.

“Starlifter Radio, an internet radio station broadcasting from Christchurch, New Zealand has a brand new website and is rockin’ the digital airwaves.” Says station automation system, HAL++.
Self described Star Captain, Dr Hitchcock (not a real doctor and known to his mother as Benet), started Starlifter Radio in September 2009 as an outlet for him and his friends to play Indie Rock, Psych Rock, Glitchy Electro, Nu Disco and various other musical genres. Since then a small community has started to gather around the new school wireless to listen to this unique station.
“The launch of the new website gives the Starlifter community a place to communicate with each other and party like it’s 2999.” says HAL++.

Held at the beautiful Kowhai Bush, near Springfield, this year the MASSIVE Winter Soulstice will be a celebration of both the longest night of the year and Matariki, our Southern New Year.
The MASSIVE Winter Soulstices have become something of a legend in the South Island (and beyond) – held outdoors, they’re like the brass monkey of dance events. At Soulstice 2010, dancers will be treated to a close-up view of the majestic Southern Alps to the West, with the whole of the Waimakariri River Gorge laid out to the East – the perfect place to see the sunrise.
That’s right, White Elephant has been named one of the six lucky charities to win a share of a $10,000 monthly donation from Sovereign Sunshine!!!!!
